The Department of Zoology ever since its inception in 2020 is actively involved in teaching Zoology for undergraduate degree courses in combination with other disciplines viz., Nutrition, Botany, Zoology (NBZ), Microbiology, Chemistry, Zoology (MCZ) and Nutrition, Zoology, Chemistry (NZC). The Faculty unites the disciplines of General Zoology, Cell biology and Genetics, Human Anatomy- Physiology, Developmental Biology, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
The Zoology Laboratory is well equipped with Research Microscopes, Incubator & Oven, Water Bath, Water Distillation plant, Microtome, Centrifuge, Computer with Scanner & printer, Gel electrophoresis Apparatus. It helps the students to develop skills in practical work, experiments & laboratory materials, instruments. The department concentrates greatly on abilities to apply scientific methods, collection of scientific data, problem solving, organize science exhibition, clubs etc.
Appreciation of the subject, contribution of scientists, scientific methods, scientific programs etc, all courses are taught by lecture and practical work.
