World Literacy Day was organized by the department of English on 3rd September, 2026, focusing on the official UNESCO theme "Literacy for people, the planet and prosperity" by the students of RDCW. The primary goal was to spread awareness about the importance of reading, writing, and lifelong learning as a matter of human dignity and societal progress. To encourage active participation and critical reflection, activities such as calligraphy, book mark making, bubble speech board, fabric painting, novel in a nutshell, quiz, JAM, debate, poem recitation, idioms walk, poet and author walk and skit were organized. The students were awarded with certificate and medals. The celebration was a vibrant and enriching experience for all student. From creative projects to thoughtful reflections and discussions, the event nurtured a love for reading, creativity, and critical thinking. The day successfully conveyed the message that literacy is not just a skill but a lifelong empowerment tool and a fundamental human rights.
